Responsibilities

Develop and implement detailed roadway design plans, specifications, and geometric layouts for highways, intersections, and other transportation infrastructure

Conduct site visits, assessments, and feasibility studies to gather data and evaluate project constraints

Prepare plan and profile drawings, quantity computations, design reports, and cost estimates

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including survey, drainage, environmental, and construction personnel

Ensure compliance with FDOT, AASHTO, and local standards and produce high‑quality CAD deliverables

Provide technical guidance to junior team members, participate in reviews, and maintain project documentation

Support permitting efforts and coordinate with local/state agencies (city, county, FDOT)

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Experience with roadway design standards and geometric design principles

Proficiency in MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, OpenRoads, or similar design tools

Strong understanding of roadway safety, traffic engineering concepts, and construction methods

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
