Electrical Engineer I

Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies. They are seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer in the Military Flight Controls Division to work in the Engineering Test Laboratory, where the engineer will create and maintain laboratory equipment for testing various Parker products.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain simple electrical and control systems using National Instruments hardware
Learn from experienced engineers about Parker’s LabVIEW software architecture and best practices to develop the ability to build and maintain control and data acquisition systems
Ability to read and understand electrical and electronic schematics and circuits as well as make modification and improvement
Perform hands-on repairs of existing equipment and instrumentation
Begin the process of learning about Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing
Assist Design Engineers with failure troubleshooting of the tested units when necessary
Provide test status to program management
Learn Parker’s processes and how they apply to product development and certification
All other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
Computer skills (MS Office, programming experience a plus)
Technical Writing skills (procedures, reports)
Knowledge of CAD software for 3D modeling and for circuit design

Preferred

Hands-on experience with electronics and electronic repair preferred
Experience with LabVIEW a plus
