Plant Operations Engineer

Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center is committed to delivering compassionate care and is seeking a Plant Operations Engineer to ensure high-quality, efficient care for patients. This role involves maintaining the physical structure and equipment of the facility, performing repairs in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the facility in good repair
Maintenance, repairs in plumbing, electrical and HVAC and other duties as assigned
Performs manual duties as requested i.e. moving supplies, equipment or furniture, replacing lights
Operate, inspect, and repair complex systems like boilers, chillers, HVAC, refrigeration, and medical gas systems
Handle minor electrical (circuits, wiring) and plumbing (leaks, fixtures) repairs and installations
Install, adjust, and maintain various equipment, including emergency generators
Execute scheduled PM tasks, such as filter changes, lubrication, and safety checks
Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations (NFPA, OSHA) and document all activities, work orders, and inspections accurately
Respond to emergency calls, diagnose faults, and perform timely repairs to critical systems
Conduct minor carpentry, painting, and general facility maintenance
Work with hospital staff to coordinate maintenance and report needs for outside contractors
Conduct and Lead Fire Drills via paper or digital

Required

Completion of apprenticeship program (Preferred) Electrician, Sheet Metal, Maintenance Electrician
Minimum of three-years of engineering Acute care hospital experience
Certifications as required- HVAC, Electrical , CFPS- Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Fire Alarm Certification (NICET)
