Responsibilities
Maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software, including multi-user applications and servers
Implement and oversee security measures like firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, and VPNs to protect against unauthorized access
Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls
Resolve network connectivity issues, hardware/software problems, and provide technical assistance to end-users
Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
6–8+ years of experience in firewall administration and network security
Good knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and migration
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching
Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and security protocols
Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python for efficiency
Ability to use tools to track and optimize network health
Preferred
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to interact with internal/external clients and handle escalations
