Responsibilities

Draft, format, and proofread legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail

Organize and maintain both electronic and physical filing systems

Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings for attorneys

Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail

Prepare memoranda to open new legal matters

Record documents in public records across Florida counties

Occasionally file documents using the Florida State E-Filing Court system

Maintain and monitor critical dates and deadlines using calendaring tools

Assist with billing and expense reporting

Provide general clerical and administrative support as needed

Qualification

Legal document draftingMicrosoft WordDocument management systemsReal estate backgroundTyping speed 65+ WPMHighly organizedCommunication skillsTeam-oriented

Required

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with clients

Typing speed of 65+ WPM with high accuracy

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset

Preferred

Background in real estate, finance, or title company work preferred

Familiarity with document management systems, iManage is a plus
