Executive Director, RN Home Health

Doctor's Choice Home Care & Hospice Texas is seeking an Executive Director who is responsible for the overall clinical, regulatory, administrative, financial, and operational leadership of the assigned home health region. This role ensures adherence to company policies and regulations while promoting clinical excellence and operational integrity.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall clinical, regulatory, administrative, financial, and operational leadership of the assigned home health region
Assumes full accountability for all personnel, service delivery, and business operations
Ensures adherence to all company policies as well as state, federal, accrediting body, and payer regulations
Promotes clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity while embodying the organization’s mission, philosophy, and Core Values
Oversees clinical quality through continuous Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities to ensure safe, professional, efficient, and patient-centered care
Participates in the on-call rotation as needed, including during start-up phases of new branches

Required

Equivalent experience in an Executive Director, Administrator, or other high-level healthcare leadership role may be accepted in lieu of RN licensure, when permitted by state and federal regulations
A minimum of five (5+) years' clinical experience or comparable leadership experience in healthcare: home health experience strongly preferred with solid knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance requirements
CPR certified with American Heart Association or American Red Cross if RN
Demonstrated proficiency in budgeting, P&L oversight, billing processes, financial analysis, and data-driven decision making
Strong leadership qualities, including clinical judgment, organizational management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to lead teams through effective leadership, coaching, collaboration, and conflict resolution
Demonstrates professionalism and maintains effective relationships across all levels of staff and corporate leadership
Exemplifies excellence in both verbal and written communication skills
Ability to model and embody the company philosophy, mission and core values through actions, deeds and communication
Must have a valid driver's license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation
Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for report development, analysis, and presentation
Travel will be required
High school diploma or GED
Equivalent experience in high-level healthcare leadership (such as Executive Director, Administrator, or senior operational leadership roles) may substitute for the RN educational requirement, when allowed by state and federal regulations
Works primarily in the agency office setting and, as required, in patient homes
Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
Must be able to assist with transferring or lifting up to 100 lbs. when providing patient care
Exposure to varied environmental conditions, including odors, blood/body fluids, and other potential hazards
Must possess adequate hearing and vision (with adaptive devices if needed) to safely perform all essential job functions
Must comply with required health screenings, including tuberculosis testing for clinical licensure

Preferred

Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state(s) of practice (RN preferred)
Minimum of two (2) years' in a home health executive or leadership role preferred
Associate or bachelor's degree in the field of nursing preferred
