Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Donor Engagement Intern to support their Resource Development team. The intern will assist with donor stewardship, data management, reporting, and administrative tasks, gaining valuable experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor relations.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in Salesforce, including contact information, address changes, and other relevant details

Assist with merging duplicate records and cleaning up outdated or inactive accounts to ensure data integrity

Support the creation of donor lists for campaigns, acknowledgments, and reporting purposes

Help generate basic reports on donor activity, contributions, and engagement metrics for the Resource Development team

Learn and apply best practices for data entry and management to support organizational compliance and efficiency

Help prepare donor thank-you letters and acknowledgment emails

Assist with event-related invoicing and ensure accurate documentation of expenses

Record in-kind donations and assist with coding gifts in Salesforce under supervision

Support invoicing processes related to donations and pledges

Work with Finance to reconcile donation records and assist with monthly reporting

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate preferred

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Comfortable with technology and willing to learn CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus)

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and basic analysis

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Interest in nonprofit work and donor relations
