Responsibilities
Leading, mentoring, and scaling a team of backend software engineers
Owning delivery of product development plans aligned with broader business strategy
Staying deeply involved technically (roughly 50% hands-on coding) while also managing performance, projects, and growth
Ensuring best practices across software design, testing, deployment, and operations
Partnering with product managers, designers, and data teams to translate business needs into technical execution
Driving agile processes with a focus on clarity, collaboration, and adaptability
Overseeing the continued evolution of scalable, secure, cloud-native systems in production
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience managing high-performing software engineering teams with direct reports
Strong, hands-on experience with Node.js (Go experience is a plus)
Solid understanding of cloud architectures, deployment models, and distributed systems
A proven track record of delivering complex projects and meeting commitments
Clear, empathetic communication and strong leadership presence
Experience operating in production environments with an emphasis on reliability, observability, and operational excellence
