For Garden’s Sake is a family-owned garden center and landscaping company, in operation since 1999. They are seeking a part-time small engine mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various landscaping machinery and equipment, working alongside a full-time mechanic.

Responsibilities

Keep equipment and machinery operating to its fullest by managing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing repairs

Manage routine maintenance on fleet vehicles: oil changes, light repairs, etc

Perform general maintenance and repairs on smaller equipment: blowers, trimmers, mowers, chainsaws, etc

Ideal candidate would also have welding and/or fabricating experience to repair trailer lights and hitches

Assist with maintenance and repairs on heavy duty equipment as needed: skid steers, mini skid steers, mini-excavators, etc

Coordinate with outside vendors or shops for larger or specialized repairs as needed

Perform daily preventative maintenance walk-through and catalog work orders

Respond to routine and emergency service calls promptly

Maintain appropriate service and repair records, and manage shop supplies
