Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for functional, manual, and automated testing
Perform in-depth manual and functional testing to validate system behavior and user experience
Test cloud-hosted and customer-facing applications for performance, reliability, and scalability
Execute end-to-end and cross-browser testing (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer)
Validate EMV payment system integrations through API and functional testing
Test POS systems with a focus on EMV chip transactions and payment workflows
Perform API testing to validate endpoints, payloads, and integrations
Use SQL for data validation, querying, and troubleshooting
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript, Node.js, or similar technologies (Playwright preferred)
Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, document, and resolve defects
Use GitHub or GitLab for version control of test scripts and documentation
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing strategies
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in manual and functional testing of cloud-hosted, customer-facing applications
Strong experience testing EMV payment systems and POS machines, including EMV chip validation
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Hands-on experience with API testing
Proficiency in SQL for data validation
Experience with JavaScript or Node.js for test automation
Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred
Experience using Playwright for automation testing
Prior experience with Selenium or Cypress
Background in payment systems, retail, or petroleum automation environments
Exposure to performance or security testing in payment-related systems
