Cybersecurity Professional-Analyst or Specialist

Responsibilities

Analyze raw, primary, and secondary data from various sources to drive cyber and open-source investigations and threat mitigation efforts
Compile, research, and report on cyber-crime, cyber terrorism, and cyber-related intelligence trends and patterns
Produce detailed assessments, bulletins, maps, charts, and specialized reports to aid law enforcement, homeland security, government, and private sector stakeholders in securing their infrastructures
Evaluate intelligence products from local, regional, national, and international sources for dissemination to public safety and private sector partners
Research and identify trends and patterns related to Information Technology stakeholders
Assist in evaluating new threats, applications, or tradecraft to protect state, local government, and private sector stakeholders
Build and maintain relationships with local, state, federal, and private sector partners to secure and protect network infrastructures
Collaborate with other state, local, and federal government agencies on outreach, liaison, and training programs related to cybersecurity
Create and disseminate briefing and outreach materials to share information and intelligence on cybersecurity threats, including Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR)
Develop partnerships with subject matter experts in various cyber communities
Offer recommendations and coordinate resources if networks are compromised by a cyber-attack
Organize meetings with cyber stakeholders to develop policies for cyber threat and vulnerability awareness and information sharing
Lead and participate in exercises, workshops, conferences, and training to develop and sustain cybersecurity policies for local and state agencies and critical infrastructure
Assess new threats, applications, or tradecraft to support cybersecurity and cybercrime protection for state, local government, and private sector stakeholders
Lead and participate in conference sessions related to cyber protection and security

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Systems, criminal justice, military or government intelligence agency or criminal intelligence network organization, or in a business, financial, or academic environment, compiling data, analyzing findings and writing comprehensive reports or related field
two or more years of professional experience in the areas of information security, cybersecurity, information assurance fields or intelligence
Expertise in classified and open-source research and data analysis methods and techniques
Experience with OSINT, social media, and dark web investigations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams)
Experience with Kali Linux, Python, TRM, SOCRadar, Mandiant, i2 analytical software
Experience with cryptocurrency investigations
Knowledge of ethical hacking techniques and procedures
Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence information
Ability to create graphs, charts, tables, maps, and other illustrative devices from collected data
Knowledge of local, state, and federal cybersecurity resources
Knowledge of federal, state, and local law enforcement databases
Ability to research numerous databases to identify trends or patterns
Ability to follow directives, instructions, and standard operating procedures
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in writing and verbally
Ability to plan, organize, and complete assignments
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships
Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in the performance of duties
Must pass a comprehensive background check
Must be a resident of Missouri at the time of appointment
Obtain and maintain a Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES) certification
Must obtain and maintain a SECRET or TOP-SECRET level federal security clearance
Willingness to work extended hours, respond to emergency calls, and travel for outreach
Willingness to travel out of state for training and conferences
