They are seeking a Principal Systems Solutions Engineer to develop system engineering plans and enhance capabilities for U.S. Army IT infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Develops a system engineering plan and methods to modernize, upgrade, and enhance capabilities over the life cycle of the project

Provide engineering support activities to include, but are not limited to, developing an engineering installation plan (EIP) and solution for implementation of the COMPMOD capabilities

Provides the fielding engineers all the necessary information required to perform the implementation action to include at a minimum: 'as-is' and 'to-be' physical and logical network architecture, integration Plan, Cyber Security artifacts: Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklist, internetwork operating systems versions, Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M), list of hardware and software, etc., test plan(s), data connectivity plan, implementation plan, transition/migration plan, and installation team checklists

Conduct systems engineering efforts from concept development through final design for the COMPMOD Capabilities GENM-A and DoD guides, regulations, and policies to meet or exceed the Government’s requirements

Utilize U.S. Army engineering processes during the development of all submissions; identify additional processes and documentation formats, as necessary

Recommends resolution of issues for program milestone decisions

Prepares, reviews, and delivers required reports and plans

Provides project support for reviews, conferences, briefings, and associated meetings

Qualification

Cisco Certified Internetwork ExpertCisco Certified Design ExpertDoD 8570 IAT Level IIIDevOps certificationSystems engineeringProject supportCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field IT, engineering, or technical field. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience allowed in lieu of a degree

Ten (10) years' experience as a Lead Engineer or leading projects of similar scope

Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE)

DoD 8570 IAT Level III required

DevOps certification from Cisco, Microsoft, or an industry recognized leader in DevOps

TS/SCI Clearance required

Capable of lifting up to 30lbs
