They are seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer to support the design and maintenance of sophisticated accredited enterprise networks for an IC customer, focusing on enterprise routing/switching expertise and secure environments.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise network design efforts, system upgrades, security implementations, and sustainment operations

Evaluate and integrate new network technologies and provide recommendations to project leadership

Plan and design network configurations to support performance, scalability, and compatibility requirements

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco (and other vendor) routers, multilayer switches, and network encryption devices

Design and plan network communications systems and manage small projects from initial planning through implementation

Support senior leadership initiatives and coordinate with the CIO and external IT organizations

Monitor network health, diagnose outages or performance issues, and restore services as required

Conduct network testing, topology surveys, and lifecycle engineering activities

Develop and maintain technical documentation including schematics, Layer 2/Layer 3 provisioning, and Configuration Control Board (CCB) materials

Present technical approaches and solutions to engineering review boards and stakeholder teams
