Networking Systems Administrator – Linux

Responsibilities

Monitor infrastructure systems, applications, and processes, identifying and resolving issues quickly
Respond to IT Help Desk calls and emails, ensuring timely resolution or escalation
Troubleshoot and correct hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
Use enterprise monitoring tools to proactively address alarms and delays
Manage information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs) and perform system security scans
Provide technical assistance for IT enhancements and system optimization projects
Maintain clear communication with users and teams, publishing outage statuses and updates
Create and maintain documentation to support incident resolution and process clarity

Required

U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of hands-on IT customer service experience
5+ years supporting complex IT/software programs (e.g., network switches, routers, LANs, Windows/Linux OS, VMware)
Strong Linux OS experience: installation, updates, disk/file system management, network configuration, and troubleshooting
Proficiency in analyzing and remediating IAVAs/CVEs and system security vulnerabilities
Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements and Windows Active Directory integration
Ability to travel up to 25% locally, with occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel as needed

Preferred

BS degree in a technical field and at least 8 years of relevant experience
Experience with security standards, enterprise domain services, and network security technologies
Familiarity with virtualization, scripting/automation, and Agile development environments
