Mid LevelOmni Austin Hotel Downtown is a luxury hotel located in the heart of Austin, Texas. They are seeking an Engineer 3 to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel environment by maintaining equipment, rooms, and guest services.

Responsibilities
Perform CARE, PRP (Guest room preventative maintenance), Public Area maintenance and select Equipment preventative maintenance to the specifications required by Omni in both quantity and quality
Receive direction from engineering management on daily assignments or projects and complete within the time and manner specified or in accordance with hotel needs
Receive direction for house calls via radio and respond promptly and appropriately
Ability to properly prioritize workload in a dynamic environment
Understand and be able to receive and update work requests from the work request system (Synergy)
Complete appropriate documents and logs for work assigned on a daily basis or as a project
Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs and learn while helping with those repairs
Embrace all learning and training opportunities
Willing to learn and understand the Omni fire alarm procedures and how to handle other emergencies
Willing and learn and understand Omni Hotel rules and regulations
Willing to learn and understand the importance of Lock out Tag out, the dangers of arc flashes and other precautions that need to be taken around equipment
Able to understand the importance of cleaning all work areas after completing a job
Able to maintain engineering shops in a clean and organized manner
Able to maintain engineering parts and supplies inventory
Excellent customer service skills
Prior maintenance/engineering experience required
Basic working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Be the knowledgeable “specialist” in at least 1 area
Must posses at least 1 certification that is applicable to building maintenance
Must be familiar with all common guest requests and how to resolve them
Must understand how to obtain trend information for issues and perform a trend analysis
Be able to fully understand, read and write in the English language
Must be comfortable with physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to walking, standing, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling for duration of shift
Must be comfortable with normal office conditions and extreme weather conditions
