Akkodis is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for a direct hire role in Katy, TX. You will support the installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and commissioning of industrial electrical and control systems, focusing on hands-on electrical work and control panel wiring. The ideal candidate has strong industrial electrical experience and the ability to troubleshoot both electrical and basic control logic issues.

Responsibilities

Install, wire, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and equipment

Perform control panel wiring according to electrical schematics and standards

Support PLC commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting activities

Perform low-level PLC code troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues

Assist with basic PLC programming and modifications as needed

Work with multiple PLC platforms and brands (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.)

Support equipment testing, commissioning, and system validation

Follow electrical safety standards, codes, and best practices

Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and commissioning teams

Maintain accurate documentation and redline drawings

Required

7–10 years of experience as an industrial electrician

Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems and machinery

Exposure to PLC programming, troubleshooting, and design

Experience wiring and troubleshooting control panels

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

Familiarity with multiple PLC brands and platforms

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Preferred

Experience with PLC commissioning and startup activities

Knowledge of control panel design concepts (training will be provided)

AutoCAD experience

Experience supporting automated or controls-driven environments

OSHA or equivalent safety certifications
