Responsibilities
Manages all stages of project cycle including planning
Maintains and reinforces client relationships through high-quality delivery
Develop and deliver project plans, on time, on budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction
Develop contingency plans to mitigate risk and ensure project deliverables and deadlines are met
Develops travel demand models to support ridership studies
Works with little guidance and as part of project teams supporting a variety of projects
Establishes and maintains a consistent and effective communication mechanism to project teams and clients
Participates in the development and implementation of innovative transportation analytics, including, market research surveys, models, and software engineering
Actively engages in training and development of junior staff members
May be responsible for directly supervising staff
Participates in industry events, e.g., presentations, publications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in transportation, market research, statistics, math, economics, psychology, geography, engineering, or a similarly relevant field of study
6+ years of professional experience, prior experience with travel models, travel demand forecasting or transportation planning
Demonstrated experience developing travel forecasts and building and validating travel demand models in one or more transportation modeling package (FTA STOPS, TransCAD, Cube, EMME, and/or VISUM)
Solid understanding of and proficiency with Python, R or SQL
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing projects, priorities, and deadlines
Experience with managing project teams
Driven with an achievement orientation to develop new innovative processes in emerging fields
Demonstrated professionalism and poise
Demonstrated writing ability, technical and business writing
Demonstrated ability to develop new customer relationships and build business Opportunities
Strong executive presence and presentation skills
Communicate complex technical materials in concise and meaningful ways to project team members and clients
