Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall management and coordination of system pharmacy acute and ambulatory revenue, forecasting, and business infrastructure

Responsible for oversight and supervision of the pharmacy purchasing, inventory management, and automation teams in all pharmacy departments. Provides leadership and direction regarding spend reduction and inventory management strategies

Assists the Executive Director in determining short and long-range financial targets, cost saving initiatives, and forecast budgeting

Manages drug recall and shortage mitigation and response strategies

Manages the pharmacy portion of the patient assistance (free drug) programs

Partners with the organization’s GPO (Premier) on cost saving purchase opportunities

Manages pharmacy purchase contracts and initiates new contracting opportunities

Coordinates implementation of automation and technology upgrades and innovations to achieve improved inventory management outcomes

Performs other duties as assigned
