Senior Buyer, Procurement F&B

Travel
Responsibilities
Procure goods and services for assigned projects such as newbuilds, dry docks, in-service projects, or operational maintenance, etc
Implement a procurement and negotiation strategy based on variables such as price, quality, availability, warranty, project terms and conditions, etc
Performs moderate to complex price analysis while considering total project cost, timing, and customer needs
Prepare, negotiate, and execute supplier agreements that meet business requirements
Single point of contact for internal customers, ensures that products or services are delivered as needed to ensure successful project completion
Lead timely resolution of escalated supplier issues
Maintain commercial interface with suppliers
Provides guidance to internal customers during budget preparation such as product and service pricing
Awareness of compliance requirements of regulatory agencies (DNV, IMO, SOLAS, USPH, US Coast Guard, etc.)
Works independently and prioritizes tasks based on projects schedules

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent job experience
5-7 years' experience in Procurement, Technical, Engineering, Commercial or Project Environment
Accreditation from Supply Chain Industry organization (i.e. CPSM, CPIM)
Learn/work in multiple systems/tools such as JDE, Databases, Microsoft Office, MS Project, etc
Strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Flexibility/adaptability to changing priorities, multiple internal customers
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment with all levels of internal and external customers
Ability to bring teams together to resolve issues and achieve targets and goals
Knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement work processes and solutions
Sense of ownership and urgency
Ability to travel domestic and international, up to 20% of the time
Preferred
Emphasis in project management preferred
