Responsibilities

Monitor data center systems, alerts, and environmental conditions to ensure uptime and reliability

Perform basic troubleshooting and escalation of hardware, network, and infrastructure issues

Support installation, racking, cabling, and decommissioning of servers and network equipment

Assist with routine maintenance, patching, and documentation of systems and procedures

Follow established runbooks, SOPs, and change management processes

Work with senior engineers to resolve incidents and participate in root cause analysis

Maintain accurate inventory, asset tracking, and operational logs

Support compliance, safety, and security standards within the data center

Participate in on-call rotations or shift work as required

Required

0–3 years of experience in data center operations, IT support, systems administration, networking, or a related technical role

Basic understanding of server hardware and components

Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switches, cabling)

Basic understanding of Linux and/or Windows operating systems

Ability to follow technical procedures and document work clearly

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in a data center environment

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus)

Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Military technical training (e.g., communications, IT, electronics, cyber, or infrastructure-related MOS/ratings)

Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Server+

Entry-level certifications such as Linux Essentials

Experience with ticketing systems, monitoring tools, or CMDBs

Familiarity with data center best practices, redundancy, and uptime concepts
