Responsibilities
Inspect incoming materials:
Take basic measurements to verify against packing slip, NAV item description and blueprints
Obtain and review material certifications as required by inspection plans. Verify that the certificates match Harger specifications
Record data and scan documents as needed for manufacturing and quality
Perform additional inspection on 'Enterprise Critical' items
Notify the Quality Manager of any discrepancies on incoming inspection or quality concerns on products
Perform shop audits
Create SOPs and maintain quality department documents
Create reports based on weekly audits
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma, or equivalent preferred
Previous quality inspector experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to use and read a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, hardness tester and other quality control equipment for measurement and analysis
Proficient in Microsoft suite such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent communication skills and organization skills
