CNC Programmer (First Shift)
American BOA Inc. is seeking a CNC Programmer to enhance productivity and optimize machining programs. The role involves close collaboration with various engineering teams and requires a comprehensive understanding of CNC machining and programming operations.

Responsibilities
Ability to manage and use Esprit and FeatureCam software to efficiently generate programs for 3 and 4 axis CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDM
Generate and maintain programs and setup sheets in a low volume/ high mix environment
Select tools for machining complex parts in steel, copper, and high nickel alloy materials
Define and adjust speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life in challenging and high stakes applications
Make suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability and CNC program strategy
Design and machine fixtures as needed
Meet expectations for productivity and production goals
Provide feedback and ideas for process improvements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
2 years of CNC programming experience using FeatureCam software or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret G-code
Understanding of best machining practices
Proficient in the use of measuring devices: micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Maintain neat and orderly work area to ensure efficiency and no safety hazards
Excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
It is expected that the machinist is skilled enough to generally work independently on each assigned project through all aspects of the project
Preferred
Familiar with First Article and In-process Inspection
Diploma or Certification from technical school preferred
SolidWorks, FeatureCam, Esprit
Familiar with Haas mill and lathe
Familiar with Mitsubishi wire EDM
