Co-Op Engineering - MFG
NMG Aerospace is a company that integrates engineering co-op students into their engineering staff, providing them with technically challenging and educationally stimulating tasks. The role involves preparation and modification of engineering drawings, support of testing activities, and collaboration with various internal organizations.

Responsibilities
Preparation and modification of engineering drawings and 3D models using computer-aided systems such as Inventor, CATIA, and AutoCAD
Support of component and full-scale test activities
Interface with internal organizations such as manufacturing, quality, and purchasing, as well as customers and suppliers
Works with engineering personnel to design, assemble, test, and fabricate products, gather and perform data analysis
Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate test results and completes basic tasks on engineering documentation
Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide
Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned
Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong written, verbal, analytical, mechanical, and interpersonal skills required
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
Goal-oriented team player able to work with minimal supervision
Able to work under-time sensitive deadlines
Proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
3.0 GPA or higher
Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company
Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results
Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies
May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual
Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, must have completed sophomore year criteria from an ABET accredited college or university
