They are seeking a Project Engineer I to manage new product development, including designing products, managing projects, and ensuring quality assurance in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

Designs cases, and other products from design concept through manufacture

Manages multiple projects and leads efforts of cross function team members to release new products to production on time and on budget

Develops appropriate test plans, test methods and analyzes and resolves quality assurance issues

Recommends procedures that will result in cost savings, maximization of production, and quality improvement

Act as liaison for the company with vendors and customers on various projects

Actively supports Pelican’s commitment to Quality and all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement

Performs additional duties as assigned

Required

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and/or minimum of 3-5 years of product design and project management experience with increasing levels of responsibility

Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of design and mechanical engineering concepts

Resourceful and innovative in developing new product ideas and implementing product improvement projects

Self-motivated result-oriented individual with a 'can do' attitude

Basic proficiency in 3D solid modeling CAD software

Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.15). A U.S. Person includes a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), or individual granted asylum or refugee status in the United States
