Help Desk Specialist (Full-Time)
Larkin Community Hospital is seeking an IT Help Desk Specialist to provide first-level technical support to hospital staff and departments. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and applications, directly supporting patient care by resolving technical issues promptly.

Provide first-level technical support to hospital staff, clinicians, and departments
Ensure uninterrupted use of computer systems, applications, and network resources
Promptly resolve technical issues in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum of 1–3 years of IT Help Desk or technical support experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365
Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi)
Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems is a plus
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand healthcare environment
Strong attention to detail and documentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data security standards
Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 25 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, and work at computer stations for extended periods
May require on-call availability or shift flexibility
Preferred
CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certifications
