Responsibilities
Manage administrative intake of members
Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
Process prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census activities
Assist clinical staff with preparing documents and triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
Handle inquiries and resolve issues from members and/or providers
Support a predominantly administrative role with lower inbound call volume, allowing for a strong focus on documentation accuracy, coordination and follow through
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma / GED
Must be 18 years of age OR older
2+ years of customer service experience
Experience with Microsoft Word (ability to edit, create and save documents), Microsoft Excel (ability to edit, create and save spreadsheets) and Microsoft Outlook (sending / receiving emails and calendar invites)
Flexibility to work Saturdays as needed
Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm HST
Preferred
Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
Clerical or administrative support background
Knowledge of ICD - 10 and CPT codes
Experience working in a call center
