Responsibilities
Responsible for effective distribution of surgical supplies to designated locations, Par Excellence locations, support rooms, sterile areas and all appropriate areas within the Operating Room
Daily activities will include, but are not limited to:
Daily inventory of Par Excellence areas (including cycle count audits, monitoring expiring / at-risk inventory, and working through outstanding orders - providing substitute options when necessary)
Daily restocking and returning of unused product to assigned locations
Maintaining audit schedule
Reviews and verifies accuracy of shipments by counting and comparing packing lists with all receiving / delivery tickets for accuracy of receipt
Performs basic contract administration by following up on back-ordered supplies with supply chain leadership and inventory analyst
Assists appropriate management personnel in the maintenance of predetermined par levels of supplies
Interacts with clinical staff in a cordial and professional manner
Must maintain environmental cleanliness and order in specific work areas
Willingly participates in quality improvement processes
Ensures that order placement and delivery dates meet clinical needs
Problem solved with clinicians on any supply-related issues (stock outs, backorders, inadequate stocking, etc.)
Performs fiscal year end physical inventories
Provides assistance, guidance and backup for related personnel in the Supply Chain department
Performs other related duties as assigned or required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma / GED, required; Bachelor's Degree, preferred
Two years of Healthcare Supply Chain experience, highly preferred
Knowledge of computer applications and software programs, including MS Office (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel), Internet Applications, ERP systems, Surgical Information System (SIS) and basic understanding of inventory management systems
Knowledge of inventory control processes
Basic understanding of clinical terms and procedures
Ability to multitask under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Superior organizational & communicative skills with high attention to detail
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree, preferred
Two years of Healthcare Supply Chain experience, highly preferred
