Responsibilities
Lead the design of municipal infrastructure projects and perform structural analysis for civil projects, including pump stations, floodwalls, bulkheads, wharfs, retaining walls, pile foundations and building systems ensuring compliance with codes and standards
Perform structural modeling utilizing software such as STAAD Pro, RISA-3D or other analysis software
Oversee field visits, construction observation, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including surveyors, geotechnical, architects, and civil engineers to optimize project delivery
Prepare comprehensive reports / calculations, construction plans, quantity take-offs, and other key project deliverables
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development through knowledge sharing and progressive leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana (or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months)
At least 8 years of relevant experience in structural design, with a focus on municipal or infrastructure projects
Demonstrated project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset
Proven enthusiasm for infrastructure design and a commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient work
