Responsibilities

Responsible for cutting cables according to specifications and project requirements in a safe and accurate manner
Collaborating with the lead to prioritize and schedule cable cutting tasks
Reading and interpreting MO’s (Manufacturing Order) and technical specifications to understand cable cutting requirements
Operate cable cutting equipment and tools to cut fiber optic cables to the required lengths
Inspect cable quality and ensure they meet the required standards
Maintain inventory control by accurately tracking and reporting the quantity and scrap of cable cuts
Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
Perform routine maintenance of cleaning of cable cutting equipment and a well-maintained work area free of trash debris, plastic, cardboard, etc
Following quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and consistency of cable cuts
Performs additional tasks as required or assigned

Required

Work well with a team and collaborate with other departments

Preferred

Previous experience in cable cutting or related manufacturing roles is preferred
Forklift experience is preferred
Basic understanding of fiber optic cables and their handling requirements preferred
