Call Center Representative

Responsibilities

Respond to inbound customer calls and provide accurate, professional service
Assist customers with life insurance inquiries, including:
Enrollment or coverage changes
Beneficiary updates
Policy provisions, exclusions, and coverage details
Continuation of coverage after retirement or employment changes
Billing inquiries and request status updates
Process transactions and prepare correspondence in accordance with established procedures
Utilize reference materials and internal systems to resolve customer needs
Meet performance expectations related to attendance, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
Participate in virtual training, coaching, and team huddles using video

Required

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
1–3 years of customer service or call center experience (required)
Ability to work a flexible schedule between 8:00am – 11:00pm EST, Monday–Friday
Reliable attendance with no planned time off during training or nesting period
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working under immediate supervision in a structured environment
Ability to use video for interviews, training, and coaching sessions
High-speed internet (500–650 kbps minimum)
Hardwired ethernet connection required (no WiFi or hotspots)
Quiet, secure workspace suitable for confidential conversations

Preferred

1–2+ years of inbound call center experience
Comfortable handling high call volumes and following scripted guidelines
Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to schedule changes
Coachable with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Performs well in a metric-driven environment (attendance, quality, behavior scores)
Comfortable working independently in a virtual setting
