The Financial Analyst/Sr Financial Analyst role supports the development and maintenance of the company's consolidated budget and corporate strategy, involving financial and accounting analysis, collaboration with stakeholders, and supporting budget development and consolidation processes.

Responsibilities

Develops, communicates and leads financial and accounting analysis

Performs assignments designed to develop work knowledge, skills and abilities requiring application of policies, procedures, techniques and other criteria in carrying out all aspects of the job

Provides analysis and presentation preparation in support of investment decisions going before Investment Review Committee

Works closely with various finance organizations to support the development of training curriculum and process improvements for planning & forecasting efforts

Performs routine work assignments and over time will demonstrate the ability to perform more difficult work assignments

Works under established policies and procedures to meet set schedules and system or program requirements

Continues to develop the knowledge, skills and abilities to reach a higher level of proficiency and work complexity

Supports and assists in the deployment of process improvement initiatives across the Finance organization on a case-by-case basis

Analyzes vast amounts of data and creates technology solutions for the processing of data and ultimate data utilization in financial reporting and evaluation across the enterprise

Required

3+ years related experience in finance or accounting related field (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year)

5+ years related experience in finance or accounting related field (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year)

Strong Excel and analytical skills in dealing with large data sets. Past experience using VBA is a plus

Knowledge of financial management and analysis, utility and/or relevant industry

Knowledge of accounting standards and practices is desirable

Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication

Teaming, analytical and customer focus skills

Working knowledge of Power Point

Self-motivated proactive work style

Aptitude for continuous learning

Demonstrated ability to create dashboarding solutions

Knowledge of data analysis platforms such as Power BI, Power Automate suite

Working knowledge of accounting systems such as SAP, BPC

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
