Paralegal

LHH is working with a national law firm in seeking a litigation‑savvy Paralegal to support matters with a focus on antitrust as well as class actions and broader business litigation. This role starts at 10 hours/week, increases to 20 hours/week, and is intended to ramp to full‑time with the possibility of conversion to permanent.

Responsibilities

Court filings (PA primary): Prepare, file, and serve pleadings, motions, discovery, and appellate materials in Pennsylvania state courts (e.g., Courts of Common Pleas; statewide systems such as PACFile; local portals including Philadelphia/First Judicial District) and federal courts (CM/ECF for E.D. Pa., M.D. Pa., W.D. Pa.)
Discovery & case management: Coordinate document requests/responses, organize productions, manage privilege logs, and maintain case files and indexes
Brief & cite support: Proofread, cite‑check (Bluebook), build tables of contents/authorities, and format filings to comply with court and local rules
Research & drafting: Conduct factual and legal research (antitrust/class action/business torts), draft shells for routine filings and correspondence
Calendaring & deadlines: Track litigation deadlines (service, discovery cutoffs, hearing dates), maintain team calendars, and coordinate with outside vendors (service, court reporters, e‑filing)
Hearing/trial prep: Assemble binders/exhibit lists, prepare witness/materials, liaise with counsel and clients, and support remote or onsite proceedings as needed
Team collaboration: Communicate status proactively; uphold confidentiality and quality standards in a fully remote environment

Required

3+ years as a litigation paralegal
Demonstrated expertise with PA state e‑filing (including county‑specific systems) and federal e‑filing (CM/ECF) for Pennsylvania districts
Bachelor's degree and/or ABA‑approved paralegal certificate (or equivalent)
Microsoft 365 (Word/Excel/Outlook), PDF tools (e.g., Adobe), and e‑discovery/document management platforms (e.g., Relativity/Reveal/Casepoint or similar)
Excellent grammar, formatting, and citation skills; meticulous attention to detail and organization
Reliable in a remote setting, responsive during Eastern Time business hours, and comfortable with changing priorities across multiple matters

Preferred

Antitrust experience strongly preferred
Class actions or business litigation experience will also be considered
