Responsibilities
Rate Analysts perform input of text into Word-based documents, technical input of rates into the table management facility and management of corporate tables
Perform detailed research and analysis of forms and actuarial documents
Evaluate drafted documents for appropriate style specifications and format documents accordingly
Create, update and proofread documents (Rate/Rule) utilizing Microsoft WORD
Update TMF tables for rate system processing
Load manuals to the intranet at scheduled times
Provide instruction to programming as necessary for table updates
Execute updates to mainframe database system for RAND
Upload and execute DB2 changes
Work in partnership with Product Support/Development, State Filings, and IT for accurate implementation of new and updated products
Assist in providing time scopes for projects
Qualification
Required
Analytical with strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrate ability to quickly learn and adapt to and use new technologies
Highly organized, detail oriented, multitasking ability, and good time management skills in a date driven environment
Proficiency in Software applications, Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, Adobe Acrobat
Strong proof-reading skills
Ability to self-motivate and work independently requiring minimal oversight to achieve defined goals, as well as working in a team supportive environment
Strong sense of urgency, ownership and accountability for quality of product
Influential, communicate effectively, clear verbal & written communication
Flexibility, positive attitude displaying adaptability to change
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; college degree or currently pursuing is a plus
Preferred
Understanding of insurance policy forms and documents – desirable
Knowledge of the following systems is desirable but will train: Microsoft WORD, Adobe Acrobat, Mainframe systems (IMS, TMF, RAND), Workshare Compare tools, SharePoint
