Responsibilities
Perform a range of waived clinical tests and protocol procedures independently
Prepare complex slide and specimen setups for testing
Mix and prepare reagents, sterile supplies, and slide stains
Cut and grind tissue samples for analysis
Evaluate, accession, and process cases or specimens
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment according to established protocols
Generate manifests for reference testing and manage inventory
Assist in developing novel ex vivo expansion strategies and treatments for cord blood-derived hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells
Maintain and document the mice colony database
Collaborate with other departments and external institutions on clinical research projects
Apply sterile techniques and Universal Precautions when handling potentially biohazardous clinical samples
Stay informed on relevant scientific literature and contribute ideas to improve laboratory techniques
Assist with laboratory supply ordering
Maintain and manage inventory of cell line catalogues stored in liquid nitrogen tanks
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Natural sciences or related field
3 years Scientific or experimental research work experience
With preferred degree, 1 year of experience
Some knowledge or experience of Immunotherapy in a research setting
Preferred
Master's Degree Basic sciences or Medical Degree
