5+ years expAdvantage Technical is seeking a Safety Specialist with strong manufacturing experience to develop, implement, and monitor safety programs ensuring compliance with regulations. The role involves consulting on equipment design, inspecting safety measures, and conducting safety training for employees.

Responsibilities
Consult on equipment design, fire prevention, and safety programs
Review machinery plans/specs to ensure safety measures are included
Inspect plant, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards
Define requirements for safety clothing/devices; install or oversee installation of safety equipment
Conduct or coordinate safety training for employees
Investigate industrial accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
Conduct air quality tests as needed
Serve as internal consultant on ergonomics, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, and fire/chemical safety
Audit business units and interface with vendors, contractors, and engineers
Administer workers’ compensation, OSHA 300 log, and return-to-work programs
Compile and submit safety reports
Qualification
Required
Manufacturing experience is mandatory
+5 years in EH&S or related safety role with a degree, 7+ without
Knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred
Safety certifications
Experience with: LOTO, Machine Safety, Risk Assessments (JHA, JSA, RA), Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Emergency Preparedness, Ergonomics, PPE, PIT & AWP, Hearing Conservation, Working at Heights, Incident Analysis
ISO 14001/45001 knowledge
