Responsibilities

Own seasonal buy execution across assigned categories, translating assortment direction into optimized unit, depth, and investment decisions
Develop and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) in partnership with Planning, ensuring alignment to sales plans, inventory targets, and margin goals
Place buys aligned to demand forecasts, budget constraints, and lifecycle strategy, with accountability for results
Partner with Production and Sourcing to achieve IMU and cost targets while maintaining product integrity
Actively manage the business in-season, monitoring sales, inventory, and sell-through to identify risks and opportunities
Recommend and execute in-season actions including chase, reorders, cancellations, and markdown strategies
Manage SKU lifecycle from launch through exit, ensuring productivity and minimizing excess inventory
Track and interpret key KPIs including revenue, gross margin, sell-through, WOS, inventory turn, and AOV
Conduct post-season hindsight to inform future buy depth, timing, and category investment
Partner closely with Merchandising to align buy execution to assortment vision and category priorities
Collaborate with eCommerce to adapt site merchandising strategies based on business performance—activating best/worst sellers, hero styles, and inventory-driven opportunities
Work cross-functionally with Planning, Design, Production, Marketing, and Customer Service to ensure buy accuracy and operational alignment
Participate in key milestone meetings including adoption, investment reviews, and buy sign-off
Own buy documentation, PO management, and seasonal tools with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
Maintain PO logs, tracking changes to units, pricing, drops/adds, and delivery timing to ensure OTB accuracy
Conduct weekly business recaps, highlighting risks, opportunities, and strategic actions for cross-functional partners
Monitor critical KPIs—including revenue, margin, sell-through, and inventory—to guide strategic course corrections
Support ERP/PLM implementation processes and identify opportunities to improve buying workflows and visibility

Required

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Buying, Business, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of merchandising, buying, or planning experience
Proven expertise in assortment planning, trend analysis, product lifecycle management, and sales-driving product strategy
Strong financial and analytical acumen, with experience interpreting KPIs, forecasting, and making data-led decisions
Experience working in e-commerce environments, ideally Shopify or Shopify Plus
Demonstrated success managing multi-category, multi-season product assortments
