InternDavid Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking qualified interns to support their Roads and Highways group while working on transportation-related projects. The role involves performing engineering calculations and design, creating construction drawings, and participating in various aspects of civil and transportation engineering.

Responsibilities
Coordinate projects with supervisor, project managers, and firm staff
Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information to design staff for incorporation into the construction drawings
Designs, prepares and analyzes preliminary and final plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads software
Prepares and designs street improvement plans, public improvement plans, and rough and precise grading plans
Analyzes maps, reports, drawings, as-builts and test results for design projects
Preparation and modification of reports, specifications, estimates, and designs for projects
Complete capacity, level of service, and safety analyses for transportation facilities
Provide project specific technical information to the Project Manager for incorporation into the project specifications
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be in the pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, with at least 2+ years of completed course work
Applicant must have a valid driver's license and clear motor vehicle report
Ability to communicate and work in a team-oriented environment
Preferred
Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Microstation/InRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D skills are recommended
