Responsibilities

Supervises coordinates and participates in activities of employees performing routine standardized biological and biochemical tests as well as more complex procedures on blood that assist physicians in the diagnosis and clinical management of patients

Assumes responsibility for recognizing results or problems that require referral to Medical Director or Laboratory Director or Manager

Performs additional tasks as requested by the Chair of Pathology or his designee

Qualification

Bachelor degree in clinical laboratory scienceHematology ChemistryUrinalysis knowledgeASCPAMT certificationCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor degree in clinical laboratory science or equivalent based on CLIA and CAP

Knowledge of specialized principles and techniques in Hematology Chemistry and Urinalysis which would normally be obtained through normal academic training and experience

Minimum of 5 years experience in area of responsibility

Excellent communication skills including verbal and written

Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
