Engineer 1 NPD/LCM

Responsibilities

Identifies, designs and develops equipment
Performs material testing
Studies the processes to implement improvements
Responsible for preparing and managing specifications
Assists technicians and engineers on troubleshooting
Responsible for purchasing and designing equipment that meets safety and environment requirements
Performs activities related to process/product validation
Responsible for supporting management of operators and technicians
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to engineering
Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Performs other duties assigned as needed
Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry
Experiment of design (DOE)
SPC knowledge
Statistical procedures
Good oral and written communication in English

0-2 years of experience in manufacturing or medical devices preferred
This position will be performed in a clean room production controlled environment and office areas
Must be capable of standing for moderate periods of time and sit on a desk in front of a computer
Regular use of clean room tools, as well as office tools, necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position
Travel: This position may require travel up to 10%
