Responsibilities

To work as a team member on the line with the mechanics to operate Packaging Line 20 in a safe and productive manner
Maintain all required paperwork including but not limited to quality checks, production reports, and inventory documentation
To perform and understand quality checks and associated paperwork in accordance with the Nestle QMS
To maintain general housekeeping and food safety related sanitation
To learn and adhere to good manufacturing practices
To support and contribute to a continuous improvement culture, including but not limited to standard creation
To look for ways to minimize waste which may include reworking material
Complete and understand all inventory transactions required for the position
Supply machine centers with packaging and raw materials
Inspect the materials before using verify the correct material is being used with the correct raw ingredient to meet our CCP requirements
Rejects any damaged or deficient materials not meeting our specification
Maintain a food factory level of sanitation
Communicate with operators, mechanics, and management
Employee shall follow Waverly safety objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety Management System on all safety related procedures and programs
This position will adhere to the Nestlé USA Waverly Environmental Policy, the Pollution Prevention Plan, and the Annual Environmental Objectives & Targets
The position will support the continual improvement of energy conservation, solid waste minimization and management, and prevention of pollution within the scope of the position and throughout the plant
Operate and adjust packaging equipment in a safe manner
Ability to modify running conditions to maintain performance standards
Production, Quality, Inventory logs and associated paperwork

Required

Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures
Willing and able to stand on a frequent basis

Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous Experience In a Food Manufacturing Environment Strongly Preferred
