Senior Electrical Engineer
Development Resource Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who enjoys taking products from idea to reality. In this role, you will design, build, test, and improve electronic systems while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality products.

Responsibilities
Design electronic systems, circuits, and assemblies for a variety of applications, including medical, industrial, and scientific products
Translate customer and product requirements into practical, cost-effective electrical designs
Evaluate existing designs and systems to recommend improvements, updates, or repairs
Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and feasibility studies to support new concepts
Create schematics, block diagrams, and design documentation using Altium
Lead or support PCB layout, prototype builds, and bring-up activities
Develop and execute test plans, supporting verification and validation efforts
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and system-level issues
Document designs clearly, including specifications, test plans, and reports
Participate in design reviews and follow structured engineering processes to meet quality, budget, and schedule goals
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and leadership teams to deliver projects on time
Present technical ideas clearly in small group or team settings
Support proposal development and project planning as needed
Work in compliance with ISO quality systems and applicable regulatory standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5–10 years of experience designing electronic products or systems
Hands-on experience with Altium schematic capture
Strong background in microprocessor-based systems, embedded software, and mixed-signal circuit design
Experience with sensitive analog circuits and simulation tools such as SPICE
Familiarity with signal integrity concepts and electrical simulations
Experience working in regulated environments (medical devices preferred)
Experience taking products through the full development lifecycle, from requirements to release
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to commute to Maple Grove, MN 55369
Preferred
Knowledge of standards such as IEC 60601-1 and ISO 14971 is a plus
Electrical engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
