Project Interior Designer

The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) is seeking a passionate and creative Interior Designer to work onsite in Stamford, Connecticut for a large coastal luxury waterfront home project. The role involves leading design development, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and ensuring the project stays organized and on track from vision to implementation.

Responsibilities

Lead and support design development across all phases of a residential remodel
Assist with space planning, finish selections, fixtures, furniture, and décor
Create and organize mood boards, samples, and design presentations
Coordinate with contractors, architects, and vendors onsite
Track orders, lead times, deliveries, and installations
Attend walkthroughs, take measurements, and help problem-solve onsite
Help keep project details, budgets, and specs organized

Required

Minimum 3 years of experience with residential interior design or a similar role
Comfortable and able to work onsite in an active remodel environment

Some experience in dealing with vendors, price and delivery negotiations
Organized, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks
Easygoing, collaborative, and proactive attitude
