Responsibilities
Litigate real estate disputes with an emphasis on title insurance matters
Handle motion practice, court appearances, and case strategy
Work on title curative litigation, easement disputes, lien claims, and boundary issues
Advise on property-related disputes involving lenders and creditors
Collaborate with attorneys across offices on multi-jurisdictional matters
Contribute to business development and client relationship growth over time
Qualification
Required
5–10+ years of litigation experience, ideally in real estate or title insurance
Active Illinois law license
JD from an accredited law school
Strong knowledge of property law, real estate documents, and civil procedure
Courtroom experience and proficiency in motion practice
Preferred
Experience with title curative litigation
Exposure to easement rights, lien claims, or boundary disputes
Construction, zoning, or land use litigation experience
Lender or creditor-side real estate matters
Appellate experience
