Responsibilities
Completes and assists with insurance verification, authorization, and financial screening to secure maximum reimbursement for the Health System
Confirms patient identity and uses Epic and on-line resources to ensure Medicare medical necessity
Handles communication telephonically, in person, and bed-side in a direct clinical care setting
Utilizes extensive computer knowledge and analytical experience to navigate and interpret information provided by a multitude of payers
Displays excellent customer service while multi-tasking and using critical thinking skills to handle complexity and stress
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 Year Customer Service
Preferred
Post high school training or college
1 Year Healthcare
1 Year Scheduling
Experience with Epic
