Robotic Systems Engineer (On-site)
Levita Magnetics is transforming minimally invasive surgery through Magnetic Surgery® and its surgical robot MARS™. They are seeking a Robotic Systems Engineer to strengthen their R&D team, influencing mechanical design and algorithmic approaches for complex physical problems while supporting FDA submissions and commercial launches.

Responsibilities
Design and develop complex electromechanical medical devices using a systems-level, data-driven approach
Support cross-functional teams spanning Clinical, Program Management, Research & Development and Operations
Derive system requirements from clinical and business needs and manage their traceability through risk and verification
Plan and execute engineering studies to identify optimal engineering solutions based on first principles
Develop test methods to characterize system performance throughout the product lifecycle
Prototype software and hardware methods to acquire and analyze experimental data
Support safety and efficacy metrics for our growing AI & Machine Learning solutions
Support general troubleshooting, complaint investigation, and servicing in the field
Conduct design reviews, change orders, etc
Apply good engineering practices to stay in compliance with the company’s Quality Manual, Training and SOPs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
4+ years of total industrial and research experience
3+ years of experience in regulated industry (medical, aerospace, automotive, etc.)
Proficiency with relevant standards such as IEC 60601-1, 21 CFR 820
Ability to analyze and write code in Python and C++
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
Ability to thrive in a startup environment with a hands-on, proactive approach
