15+ years expPiper Companies is seeking a Director of Infrastructure to join a life insurance company, through hybrid work in Frederick, MD. This position will lead strategic CHANGE initiatives, driving the evolution of infrastructure to align with both technology and business growth objectives.

Responsibilities
Work with cybersecurity to strengthen security posture and foster a security-aware culture
Define SLAs/OKRs, close capability gaps, and ensure compliance through ongoing monitoring
Manage vendor relationships to meet contractual and performance commitments
Oversee hardware/software assets and network inventory, address infrastructure risks, and report mitigation plans
Collaborate with IT leadership to allocate resources, manage budgets, and prioritize technical debt
Research emerging technologies, recommend solutions, forecast capacity, and support scalable growth planning
Qualification
Required
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Technical certifications (Ex: MSCE, MCP, MOS, CCNA, CCDA, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, COBIT etc.)
Senior position: 5+ years of leadership experience, 15+ years of infrastructure experience
3+ years' experience of public cloud like Azure, AWS
Proven ability to manage and engage stakeholders across all organizational levels
Demonstrated experience overseeing budgets of $5M or more, with strong financial controls and reporting practices
