Responsibilities

Analyze conversion data files for format, content and structure
Analyze and translate business requirements into specialized conversion programs
Code, test and debug highly customized conversion programs
Evaluate conversion exceptions and errors for possible solutions
Assist in the balancing and verification of conversion projects
Demonstrate an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry
Suggest technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems
Completes project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations
Provide input into unique client requests, including solution design and project estimates
May provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionals
Other related duties as needed

Qualification

COBOL programmingIBM z/OSData file analysisIMSDB2 DBMSFIS Integrated Banking SystemsUnix operating systemOracle DBMSProblem-solving skillsTeam management skillsTime management skills

Required

A bachelor's in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience
Knowledge of structured COBOL programming techniques with general understanding of IMS and/or DB2 DBMS
Strong understanding of working with sequential data files, including packed numeric, binary, EBCDIC, ASCII and FTP
Knowledge of IBM z/OS operating environment, including JCL, TSO, ISPF, VSAM, SYNCSORT, Expediter, Insync and VISION~Results (DYL280)
Excellent problem-solving, team and time management skills

Preferred

Knowledge of FIS' products and services, specifically with Integrated Banking Systems (IBS) is preferred but not required
Understanding of Unix operating system and Oracle DBMS
Experience working in leveraged open system environments
