Responsibilities

Manage and optimize existing and expanding data assets across the Enterprise Data Platform (Azure Databricks), Power BI (Partner Intelligence workspace), and third-party integrations (Candid organization and grant data, Wealth-X data)
Lead the ongoing integration of Salesforce data with the Enterprise Data Platform to ensure data alignment, availability, and accuracy across systems
Develop and manage a data quality monitoring process for Salesforce and third-party data (e.g., giving vehicle, account, and philanthropic details)
Design and maintain a data quality dashboard and facilitate periodic reviews with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and remediate issues
Support data consumers by maintaining and enhancing Power BI dashboards, updating Salesforce fields, and developing data documentation, training, and resources
Serve as a data steward and advisor to PPT request processors, ensuring consistency and understanding of data use
Implement metadata standards, naming conventions, and version control
Establish data request intake processes
Contribute to data lifecycle documentation and retention practices
Ensure all data practices align with organizational data governance policies and compliance standards, including sensitive data handling and access controls
Partner with IT and Information Security to verify that data technologies (especially Azure Databricks and Power BI) have proper access, encryption, and security protocols
Translate enterprise data governance policies for team-specific needs
Develop practical guidance for the Partner Intelligence team to operationalize these policies
Identify areas where organizational data policy is insufficient (e.g., new datasets, evolving data use cases) and collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and leadership to address gaps
Establish and maintain a data stewardship framework, clearly defining data owners, data stewards, and data consumers within team
Co-lead change management and awareness efforts for governance updates, fostering a data-driven and compliant culture
Conduct descriptive analyses (e.g., year-over-year giving trends, partner segmentation, relationship patterns)
Build or help identify opportunities for statistical and/or machine learning models (e.g., clustering, predictive forecasting) to identify partner opportunities and trends
Explore and implement innovative analytics approaches (e.g., AI agents, NLP for partner insights)
Evaluate new data sources or technologies that enhance team's understanding of the philanthropic ecosystem
Optimize Salesforce, Power BI, Databricks, and other available capabilities to deliver richer, faster insights
Collaborate with leadership to inform strategic planning, forecasting, and portfolio assessments
Surface key themes, risks, and opportunities from data to guide decision-making
Partner with IT and Platform teams to enhance enterprise-level insights
Share learnings and tools with other Program Strategy Teams to ensure data consistency and mutual benefit (“good neighbor” data practices)

Required

Proven experience leading data teams, guiding workstreams, and setting analytical direction
Exceptional storytelling skills - able to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for senior and executive audiences
Deep experience conducting advanced descriptive and diagnostic analysis (trend analysis, segmentation, partner patterns)
Hands‑on experience applying AI and machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, forecasting, NLP) to drive insights and efficiency
Strong working knowledge of Azure Databricks, Power BI, and SQL‑based environments (or the ability to replace SQL with Databricks SQL)
Experience managing data ecosystems, including ingestion, transformation, integration, lineage, metadata, and version control
Ability to oversee Salesforce data integration into an enterprise data platform and ensure alignment, availability, and quality
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policy alignment, role definitions, and compliance requirements
Experience managing data quality programs, developing quality dashboards, and leading remediation processes across teams
Expert in building and maintaining high‑quality dashboards that support strategic decision‑making
Demonstrated ability to identify strategic opportunities, risk patterns, and emerging trends using data
Experience supporting multiple workstreams simultaneously, including data management, governance, analytics, and enablement
