Temporary Researcher
The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a temporary researcher for the Department of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering. The role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating platform motion controllers for floating offshore wind turbines.

Develop, implement, and evaluate platform motion controllers for floating offshore wind turbines
Qualification
Required
Master's of Science degree in electrical engineering or aerospace engineering
Multiple years of research experience in the modeling and control of floating offshore wind turbines
Ability to model floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs)
Knowledge in developing controllers for FOWTs
Capability in running OpenFAST simulations to evaluate controllers
Ability to modify OpenFAST code as necessary to tailor control capabilities to be implemented and evaluated
Preferred
Prior experience working in the Pao research lab
