Responsibilities

Fit and assess predictive models leveraging geospatial data sources in R or Python

Explore and analyze client-provided assets and reliability data sets

Collaborate with a broader data science and engineering team to take projects and products from inception to client delivery

Required

Education: MS or PhD in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or similar field of study

MS + 1 year professional experience conducting data science projects in industry or applied research - analytical design, managing schedule and communicating results to stakeholders or PhD with applied research in above mentioned fields of study

Hands on experience cleaning, joining, and analyzing real-world data sets using predictive models (statistical, machine learning) in R and/or Python

Experience working as part of a larger data science team, collaborating with technical or non-technical peers, and presenting interpretable results to stakeholders

Preferred

Domain expertise in the electric utility space

Domain expertise in geospatial analytics or using remotely sensed weather observations

Experience leading and overseeing the work of data analysists or data scientists within a team
